According to Zhejiang Zhongkong Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongkong Solar), at 14:19 on April 17, 2019, the Qinghai Zhongkong Solar Delingha 50MW Solar Thermal Power Station, jointly invested by Zhongkong Solar and Zhejiang Zhongguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., achieved full-load operation. Operational records show that all major indicators exceeded the design values: the outlet molten salt temperature of the heat absorber reached up to 566℃, the main steam pressure was 13.3 MPa, and the maximum output power of the steam turbine generator reached 50.65 MW. The operation of subsystem equipment such as concentrating, heat absorption, heat storage, heat exchange, and power generation was stable.

The Qinghai Zhongkong Solar Delingha 50MW Tower-type Molten Salt Storage Solar Thermal Power Station is one of the first batch of national solar thermal power demonstration projects. With an installed capacity of 50MW and a 7-hour molten salt energy storage system, the station has an annual designed power generation capacity of 146 million kWh. Construction began on March 15, 2017, and grid-connected power generation was achieved on December 30, 2018. The station utilizes core technology independently developed and fully owned by Zhejiang Zhongkong Solar Technology Co., Ltd., with over 95% of the equipment being domestically produced.

We at CEEF are honored to be the supplier of the 35t/h fully automatic circulating salt device for this system, contributing to the successful startup of the Qinghai Zhongkong Solar Delingha 50MW Tower-type Molten Salt Storage Solar Thermal Power Station. CEEF will continue to work with industry peers in the research and development of China’s solar thermal power stations, developing new products and contributing our strength to the world’s clean energy.
