51M kcal/h Pulverized Coal Thermal Fluid Heater: Major Installation in Chemical Sector

CEEF has successfully completed the onsite installation of an ultra-large 51 million kcal/h pulverized coal thermal fluid heater at a major chemical processing facility in Tai’an, Shandong. Representing a significant milestone in high-capacity industrial heat transfer, this monumental thermal oil heater was specifically engineered to meet the extreme, continuous thermodynamic demands of modern chemical manufacturing.

Engineering a Massive Pulverized Coal Architecture

The physical scale of this advanced hot oil system is unprecedented. The core furnace structure measures 15.2 meters in length and 9.3 meters in width, reaching a towering net height of 23.2 meters—creating a top surface area equivalent to half a basketball court. Constructing a heavy-duty hot oil heater of this magnitude required our engineering teams to overcome immense structural and combustion challenges, ensuring uniform heat distribution across its expansive radiation surfaces.

Unlike conventional, smaller-scale thermal oil boilers, this ultra-large system operates strictly in the liquid phase, designed to combust pulverized coal with highly controlled, stable thermal output and zero pressure vaporization risks.

Advancing High-Capacity Heat Transfer Capabilities

For over four decades, CEEF’s R&D operations have been exclusively dedicated to advancing the structural and thermal limits of industrial heating equipment. Delivering this massive 51 million kcal/h unit reinforces our technical dominance in the engineering and fabrication of ultra-large thermal oil heaters.

As our onsite technical teams transition into the final commissioning and operational testing phases, this successful deployment sets a new global benchmark for the performance and scale of heavy-duty thermal fluid heaters in the chemical processing sector.
