Product Overview
To achieve continuous, 24/7 operation of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants, daytime solar energy must be efficiently stored for nighttime dispatch. The CEEF Molten Salt Thermal Energy Storage System is a comprehensive, utility-scale solution that makes dispatchable solar power a reality.
System Operation Workflow
During the day, solar collectors heat the primary Therminol VP-1 heat transfer fluid. This fluid then exchanges heat with the molten salt, storing the massive thermal energy inside heavily insulated high-temperature tanks. At night, the process reverses: the hot molten salt heats the Therminol VP-1, which in turn generates high-pressure steam to drive the steam turbine generator.
