On April 19–20, a three-member ASME joint review team led by team leader Niu Can conducted a two-day renewal audit at Changzhou Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. (CEEF). The inspection evaluated CEEF’s manufacturing systems for industrial thermal fluid heater and pressure vessel fabrication.
The review team conducted on-site examinations and technical interviews across 12 core operational areas:
- Quality management system documentation
- Personnel credentials and welder certifications
- Shop floor equipment and fabrication conditions
- Design files and engineering calculation sheets
- Process documentation and travelers
- Material procurement and incoming receiving inspection
- Heat treatment controls
- Welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR)
- Non-destructive testing (NDT) operations and inspector credentials
- In-process quality control records
- Gauge calibration and metrology controls
- Live fabrication and testing of a shop demonstration vessel
The review team confirmed that CEEF’s production practices align with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements, successfully approving the certification renewal. This renewal covers ASME S-stamp authorization for power boilers and U-stamp authorization for pressure vessels, confirming code compliance across all thermal oil heater product lines.
CEEF utilized this joint review to conduct comprehensive internal inspections across all fabrication bays. The company continues to enforce strict material traceability and pressure testing standards for every thermal oil furnace and hot oil boiler built for export.
