University mechanical engineering students toured the CEEF plant to study thermal oil heater fabrication

On April 24, 2023, over 70 mechanical engineering students from Changzhou University visited Changzhou Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. (CEEF). They arrived to study the practical fabrication of industrial heating systems. This visit marks the first major academic tour since the provincial government designated CEEF as a formal “Jiangsu Province Graduate Workstation” and a dedicated practical training base for energy and power engineering.

Bridging Theory and Shop Floor Execution

Classroom theory must translate into heavy steel fabrication. Quality Assurance Engineer Ding Hong and Project Manager Zhang Qingjin led the mechanical engineering cohort across the production floor. The students observed the welding, assembly, and testing phases required to build a commercial thermal fluid heater.

Before entering the active fabrication zones, the engineers briefed the students on mandatory safety protocols regarding hard hats and heavy machinery boundaries. Students then watched veteran welders and fitters assemble complex pipe arrays. They observed the exact tolerances required to manufacture pressure vessel components for a thermal oil furnace.

Adapting Heat Transfer for Emerging Energy Markets

The technical tour covered CEEF’s four decades of manufacturing history. Zhang detailed how the standard thermal oil heater has adapted to meet modern energy demands. He highlighted recent deployments of the company’s hot oil boiler systems in massive Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) facilities.

He specifically referenced active solar projects in Dubai and Delingha. These renewable energy sites rely on precise fluid dynamics to maintain continuous power generation. By integrating academic research with factory floor execution, CEEF ensures its equipment meets the strict operational demands of these advanced power plants.

CEEF maintains active partnerships with universities and research institutes to train engineers and refine heat transfer technology. To discuss technical specifications or request engineering drawings for your next project, contact the CEEF engineering team.
